The Conference of Presentation Sisters of North America hired San Francisco Presentation Sister, Monica Miller, to be the Executive Director for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2003.

Sister Monica's main responsibility is to implement the goals of the Conference which are to strengthen relationships among the eight congregations, to collaborative in the areas of charism and ministry and to become a more united voice for issue of peace and justice. Her work focuses on two specific areas: the creation of various processes, including a Conference website, for sisters and associates to come to know each other; and the organization of the Presentation inter-congregational "Convergence" to be held at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota in July of 2006.

A native of the San Francisco, Sister Monica's earliest years as a Presentation Sister were spent in the Bay Area teaching elementary and high school education and later in college campus ministry. She also spent fifteen years in parish ministry where her emphases, in addition to general parish ministry, were youth ministry, religious education, and liturgy. After serving on the faculty of St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, California, she became the Archdiocesan Coordinator of Catholic Youth Organization for San Mateo County where she organized a Youth Day for the San Francisco three-county archdiocese. Later, she collaborated with young adults to initiated Fall Fest, a one-day conference for Catholic young adults for socializing, networking, theological updating, and liturgy. Prior to being hired as Executive Director, she was Vocation Director for her San Francisco community for six years.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and elementary teaching credential from San Francisco State University, as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Education and an Administrative Services Credential. She also holds a Master of Arts on Pastoral Ministry from Seattle University.
